TRISH – PRACTICE MANAGER
Trish began her dental career in 2001 as a Certified Dental Assistant and continued to grow professionally, becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2004. After relocating to Florida in 2010, she transitioned into dental administration and joined the Avalon Dental team in 2012.
Trish enjoys working alongside Dr. Ottley and the Avalon Dental team to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. She takes pride in supporting patients with treatment questions, insurance guidance, and financial arrangements, helping make their experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.
She is a lifetime member of the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM) and serves as President of the Northwest Florida Dental Connection DPLN. In 2025, Trish earned her Diplomate designation from AADOM, the highest honor awarded by the organization, recognizing her leadership and excellence in dental practice management.
Outside the office, Trish enjoys working out, reading, and spending time with her family. In the fall, you’ll likely find her cheering on Auburn football—War Eagle!
TRACY – INSURANCE COORDINATOR
Tracy began her dental career in 2010 and has experience in both front office reception and insurance coordination. She enjoys helping patients achieve their goals and feel confident in their smiles. Tracy is known for going above and beyond to ensure patients’ insurance information is accurate, allowing her to provide clear and reliable estimates for treatment costs and procedures.
She is originally from the Pace area and joined the Avalon Dental team in June of 2025. Tracy takes pride in being a supportive and knowledgeable resource for patients, helping them navigate insurance benefits and understand their financial options with confidence.
Outside of the office, Tracy enjoys spending her free time at the racetrack with her husband. Her attention to detail, dedication to patient care, and friendly approach make her a valued part of the Avalon Dental team.
DEE – SCHEDULING COORDINATOR
Dee was born and raised in Alabama—a true country girl at heart. She began her career in dentistry in 1998 after moving to Florida, starting with Fairfield Dental. Over the years, Dee has worn many hats, including receptionist, office manager, and now scheduling coordinator.
She joined the Avalon Dental family in July 2025 as a scheduling coordinator and loves helping both patients and her fellow team members at her new dental home. Dee has one kiddo who is currently in college at Florida Southern. In her spare time, she enjoys soaking up the sunshine, listening to live music, and having fun with good company and a cold drink.
GINA – HYGIENIST
Gina graduated from dental hygiene school in 1995. Early in her career, she had the opportunity to practice dental hygiene in a variety of dental settings, gaining valuable experience along the way. In 2005, she moved to Milton and began working at Avalon Dental, where she enjoys being a part of the hygiene team.
As a hygienist, her goal is to provide dental cleanings and X-rays that are both gentle and thorough, while also educating patients on how to maintain a healthy smile. She enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level and strives to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated each time they visit the office.
DAWN – HYGIENIST
Dawn began her career in dentistry as a dental assistant in 1988 and quickly knew the dental field was where she wanted to stay. After six years, she furthered her education by attending dental hygiene school, a decision that proved to be a great fit. As a hygienist, she enjoys educating patients, answering questions about products and procedures, and helping calm the nerves of anxious patients. Many days are filled with laughter in her chair, and she values the special connections she builds with those she cares for.
Outside of Avalon Dental, she enjoys traveling to visit family, going on walks and hikes locally as well as in Colorado and the Midwest, tending to her yard and flowers, and spending time at the beach. She is excited to be part of the Avalon Dental team as of 2025 and looks forward to continuing to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
TRICIA – HYGIENIST
Tricia is originally from the Atlanta, Georgia area and relocated to the area in April 2023. She graduated from The Medical College of Georgia in 1997 and has worked in a variety of dental settings throughout her career. Her experience includes serving as a dental hygiene clinical instructor at a local college in Atlanta, as well as working as a dental supply sales representative.
She enjoys building strong relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of overall health. Providing quality patient care and helping patients achieve healthy smiles are priorities for her, which is why she is excited to be a part of the Avalon Dental team.
She lives in Pace with her husband and has a daughter and a son. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, crafting, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
SUSANNE – DENTAL ASSISTANT
Susanne was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, and has been in the dental field since 1999. She has worked as Dr. Ottley’s chairside assistant since 2008.
After high school, she pursued a career in dentistry and earned her dental assisting certificate from Pensacola Junior College. As a dental health professional, her goal is to ensure every patient has a positive experience. She understands that dental visits can be unsettling for some patients and takes pride in creating a relaxing, comfortable environment. She is dedicated to providing quality care and helping patients maintain healthy, confident smiles.
SHANNON – DENTAL ASSISTANT
Shannon began her dental career in 2010, and her favorite part of the job is seeing the confidence that comes from giving patients smiles they truly love. She is originally from the area and currently lives in Jay with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs.
In her spare time, she enjoys organizing—cleaning and organizing are her therapy—spending time with family, traveling, working on craft projects, being outdoors when the weather is cool, and, of course, watching football. Go Gators!
